Small Organisms for Winds
Duration ~ 4:00
Duration ~ 4:00
Program Notes:
As a child, most of the works I encountered were either easy renditions from the Baroque and Classical era, or pieces created more for the purpose of exercising my fingers and technique than for their musical qualities. Compositionally, I wanted to create works that enabled students to understand nuance – to learn the difference between playing the notes and playing music.
