FREE LAND – Flute, Trumpet, Violin, Cello, Percussion 2012 ~ 13 min. Begun during a residency at Homestead National Monument, this three movement work commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Homestead Act of 1862.
Flow – Trio for Viola, Trombone and String Bass 2012 ~ 3 1/2 min. Composed in Denali National Park, Composing in the Wilderness project with the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival.
Sequence - Percussion, Flute, Clarinet, Trombone & Cello 2011 ~ 8 1/2 min.
Three movement work exploring the use of limited pitch and timbre.
Rapartee – Duo for Cello and Double Bass 2010 ~ 3 min. Commissioned by Bottom Line Duo, the piece represents a witty and personal dialog.
161 Glass – Percussion Quartet, Clarinet/Trombone 2010 ~ 18 min Commissioned by Dallas Contemporary, this three movement piece explores space, place, art and architecture, and the transition of those elements over time.

Dusk – Trio: Violin, Clarinet, Piano 2008 ~ 4:30 min Like an actual sunset, this trio explores the transformation of harmonic color
JARS – Chamber Ensemble 2008 ~ 20 min This nine movement piece, with interludes, walks the listener/observer through an archeological dig. The large ensemble features piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola, cello, seven percussionists, and an actor who personifies the intricate work of the archeologist.
Garah – Trio: Marimba, two Clarinets (or Violins), 2008 ~ 4 min Written for clarinetist, Michael Garman, the clarinets act out a playful duet over an improvisational marimba part, with only chord changes and density indications for the marimbist.
Fugue for Strings – String “Quartet” with Bass 2007 ~ 3 min Traditionally structured, this dynamic fugue diverges from tradition with 20th century language and the use of a single violin and the addition of the Double Bass.
Fanfare for Brass – Trumpets – 2, Trombones – 2, Tuba 2007 ~ 4 min A straight forward fanfare, this is appropriate for teenage performers
Malediction – Trumpet, Mezzo Soprano, Piano 2000 ~ 13 min Set to the middle song of the poem, Three Songs for a Legend, by Irish poet Eavan Boland
Cloudburst – Marimba, Vibes, Timpani and Bass 1998 ~ 4 min This quartet embodies the flash of a sudden and fleeting Texas thunderstorm (Available on ERMMedia, vol. 10, or Amazon)
